Do something EPIC before breakfast!

From time to time, I decide to do something EPIC before going to class.  Something that cheers me up, puts others in “OH” and excitement, something that I can celebrate for the rest of the day and makes me feel that I accomplished a day of success by 9 am!

This week it was hiking… a special hiking, I must say!  I was actually carrying my hiking partners.  We all took turns.  Being the girl (lighter and smaller and carrying heavier and larger) made it even more exciting, more impressive, more epic!

So I dare you.  Do something EPIC this week, or even tomorrow morning!  Before breakfast, before school or work!  Just go for it and do it!  Nothing too crazy just a small step that takes you to the next level.  Secure but challenging.

You can choose different levels for your epic endeavor:

Pretty Amazing:  do  something that you never did before.  Something that you know that is going to take you out of your comfort zone in great excitement!

Tremendous:  do something that none of your friends, family or other people in your life have ever done.  Make sure that you are still going out of your comfort zone in excitement.

Massively EPIC:  do something that you’ve never seen any real person do before!  Not even in Television, YouTube videos… nada!  Well, I must say that I’m talking about real life people, not movie superheroes or other amazing movie characters!  And of course, you want to secure that you will be out of your comfort zone in positive excitement!

3 Simple Steps To Superhuman Strength!

A SCIENTIFIC APPROACH TO SUPERHUMAN STRENGTH

When an extremely stressing situation occurs our hypothalamus sends out a chemical signal to the adrenal glands activating the sympathetic system.

Then we start releasing adrenaline and noradrenalin, awakening our state of readiness to confront danger.

Our heart rate rises, our respiration increases, our pupils dilate… and our muscles contract more powerfully achieving amazing strength and agility.

We become more alert and use more energy.


MY PERSONAL SUPERHUMAN STRENGTH EXPERIENCE

In the video below, you can see a CRAZY conditioning exercise that I tried out last week.

My personal experience is that not only danger stimulates this adrenaline response, but any kind of excitement does this in more or less amount.

I had a voice teacher that made me aware of how the nervousness of going on stage would give me the adrenaline I needed to optimally respond to the situation.

When I train I find three things that help me generate Superhuman Strength. These three things you already know if you listened to The 5 Superhero Secrets (the free audio series that you can instantly access on the sidebar):

1 – Play Like a Kid or a Wild Animal:

Remember when you were small and you could run for hours without thinking of feeling tired? Well, that’s what I’m talking about! I would probably not do these things if it felt like an obligation, if it was with people I don’t like, if I was alone, or if it felt like a boring thing to do. Those scenarios just can’t generate enough energy flow to achieve this crazy stuff.

2 – Leverage Your Efforts by Using The Power of a Team:

I joined my friends in their goal of getting ready for their MMA fight in April (even though I’m not competing) because I know how leverage works and I had to take this massive opportunity! The right frequency of vibration is generated all around and easily sustained by all of us and our excitement. I just have to immerse myself into it and it just takes me with it!

We have been doing a lot of extreme stuff for the last month, but when I heard Nhan explaining the exercises in the above video, I thought he was crazy. I didn’t know if I wanted to even try. Once they started he decided to add the dog pile at the end, like the “cherry on top” – a heavy one! I was feeling sorry for the guys, thinking that they couldn’t do it and absolutely secure that I wouldn’t go for it. Once the three of them went through the circuit and it was my turn, I just jumped into it without thinking.  I’m not sure why.  My body went before my mind got in the way and once I started, my disbelief transformed…

3 – Anticipate the Pleasure of Being Amazing:

…into the anticipation and excitement of doing something AMAZING!  Once I started, I had to complete it. A little bit more effort and I would have generated the most amazing amount of strength that I had to date. I felt so excited, determined and focused – nothing could stop me. I had originally said that I would do the steps with Charles 157lb, but once the moment came I felt extreme pleasure in daring the Universe and I stared at Jonathan saying I am going to lift you – 168lb. I’m going for the Gold. I want to taste the maximum amount of achievement available at this moment in time! I want to make it EPIC! And I did it!

Now I can’t wait for the next level. I have no idea of what Nhan will come up with, but I’m extremely excited about it!

10 Superfoods for Creating Superhuman Abilities

First of all, I want to share the reality of who I am and how I live.  I tried many different diets: vegetarian, vegan, raw, organic, blood type, the “everything goes” diet, the Burger King diet (yes, even that one – I was young and they were cheap).  Overall, I believe in our inner power to focus in different ways on what we eat, rather than on the science behind diets and nutrition.  Do I eat this because I feel empowered or because I am afraid of not being healthy or fit?  That is the KEY for me!

At the same time I appreciate the knowledge of nutrition factors and I enjoy experimenting how different diets feel on me.  I am always interested on trying cool and POWERFUL stuff.

I want to reveal 10 very special Superfoods.  It is not spirulina, it is not wheat grass, it is not blue green algae…  These are the 10 Superfoods that your nutritionist never told you about!  This is Superhero stuff!  Read closely:

1/ Chia Seeds:

These delicious seeds will fill you up with sustained energy and endurance superpower.  It will also help you build lean muscle mass.

Chia was so prized by the ancient Aztecs that it was used as a form of currency.  Aztec warriors would take a small pouch of chia seeds on long journeys as a small amount could sustain a grown man for days.  The Tarahumara Indians of Mexico known for their unearthly running endurance would take a chia seed drink to sustain and recharge during races that have been known to last days and span more than a hundred miles in rugged desert canyon terrain.

You can mix the Chia Seeds with water, tea or milk (I normally add some organic sugar just for the taste – optional).  Remember to shake the mix up every so often for the first few minutes, because the chia seeds expand and the mix could get clumpy.  The final result is an extremely healthy version of a crunchy boba tea!  Pretty cool!

2/ Kombucha:

This is a very refreshing fermented tea drink.  It has the distinct flavor of yeast similar to beer but sweet and tangy.  It maintains the properties of green tea plus added probiotic properties meaning that it helps increasing the presence of good bacteria in your body.  It is very powerful in strengthening your immune system, stimulating your metabolism and much more!

You can get a bottle of Kombucha at Whole Foods, but you can also make it at home if you acquire a Kombucha mother.  It is sort of like having a low maintenance pet, because it is alive and growing.  Kombucha ferments tea by eating the sugar in it (yes, it has a sweet tooth).

The origins of Kombucha are mysterious and not exactly known, although some sources state that it originated in China more than two millennia ago and was known as the “Elixir of Immortality”.  How about that?  I’m going to drink some!

3/ Colostrum:

Raw Colostrum is the first milk that cows (or other mammals) give at the time of parturition.  It is a powerful source of antibodies and minerals, and precedes the production of regular milk.  It is alive food, with probiotic bacteria, natural enzymes, and immunoglobulins (proteins that form an important part of the immune system).  Colostrum is believed to have powerful anti-aging properties and promote beautiful skin.

4/ Kefir:

Kefir means feel good in Turkish.  You can buy Kefir in a supermarket or you can make it at home if you have a Kefir Grains.  The Kefir grains will convert milk into a sort of sour yogurt.  Kefir has antibiotic and antifungal properties, and beneficial bacteria.  It promotes a healthy nervous system.  You can also produce Kefir Water.

The origins of this cultured superfood are also shrouded in mystery but it is believed to come from the Caucasus mountain area in Eurasia where shepherds would culture fresh milk in leather bags.  The people of that area have been known for their long life, routinely reaching 100 years and more.

5/ Hemp Seeds:

If you would have to choose to eat just one plant based food for the rest of your life, I guess that’d be it :)   Hemp seeds have a rich history of use around the world and are one the oldest cultivated crops in human history.  It is a powerhouse of nutrition with a nearly perfect protein profile and high concentration of essential fatty acids.  They have a neutral flavor, so they mix well with sweet or savory foods.

6/ Coconut oil:

This is one of the healthiest oils for cooking, because it is fully saturated so it can withstand the heating from cooking without breaking down into toxic byproducts like unsaturated oils.  Coconut oil is even more amazing when taken raw.  It provides you immediate energy, promotes youthful looking skin, a healthy heart, metabolism, immune system, and it is great for weight loss.  The taste and smell are just delicious.  Thinking of it makes me hungry!

7/ Butter:

This is a misunderstood jewel.  Well, we are talking about real raw butter from healthy pastured cows, no imitations, no margarine.  I see many people trying to avoid fats, when they are actually essential for our body and for our skin (remember that skin is the largest organ in your body!).  Butter is extremely powerful as a natural free radical source promoting longevity!

Butter is a cultured food that is best taken raw to preserve the probiotic qualities.  The unique cell-like butterfat globules also give the butter a very special quality for promoting gut health.

8/ Eggs:

This is totally counter to conventional thinking.

The Superhero’s Shortcut to Success!

Can the painting on your wall decide your future? If so, is your current painting conducive to the results you want? What can you do RIGHT NOW to start taking practical advantage of this powerful concept?

BRUCE LEE ON THE WALL

Ten years ago I had a gigantic Bruce Lee painting on my wall.  It was pretty eye-catching, full of red and orange colors.  At that time, I wasn’t into martial arts AT ALL.  I never thought I could get into that stuff, just watch it in the movies.

The painting wasn’t even mine.  I wasn’t very familiar with Bruce Lee, I just had seen him once in a documentary and I was pretty impressed, but that was all.  I wouldn’t have bought a painting of him or do anything close to that.

How did that painting get on my wall?  Well, I was so cool that I wanted to impress the boyfriend I had at that time with this expensive painting he liked (he really loved Bruce Lee).

We were living together, so the painting was always there – a gigantic reminder of a powerful symbol.

Time passed and we broke up.  He took a year to find a place where he could store the painting, so I was imposed to have Bruce Lee with me.

Guess what?  Now, martial arts is the number one thing I am dedicated to.  Not only that, even though I dedicated to many other artistic pursuits for long years, I am mainly known for my martial arts.  Martial arts have brought me the most success compared to any other field that I have been involved in until this moment.

Ironically, once I got into martial arts, I wasn’t interested in Jeet Kune Do (Bruce Lee’s style).  I only wanted the less practical but more flashy styles.  However, I am currently studying to become a Jeet Kune Do instructor!  Coincidence?  Don’t give an answer yet.  Let me share a couple more stories with you.

MAGIC REALITY – The Facts

I had this friend in Spain who had a picture on his wall for years.  It was the picture of a man in full traditional Mexican costume,  No particular reason for it, it just looked cool.  This friend was a talented musician.

His band wasn’t complete yet and he had actually offered me to be the singer of the band but I was developing my own music, so I couldn’t.  They finally found a great singer to join them and complete the band.

Soon after, they a had BIG record deal offer.  Only one detail: they would have to be willing to go to Mexico and launch their career there.  He gave us the great news and pointed at his picture on the wall as if it had something to do with it.  I found it interesting, but I wasn’t a full believer…  Not yet anyway.

He left for Mexico and he and his band became extremely successful and world renowned.  They recently performed at the Staples Center in LA.  The band’s name is  “La Quinta Estacion”.  Man, if I had only known!
THE ART OF FENG SHUI

Around that time, I was learning Feng Shui, and one of the things I learned from it was how we can modify our house to improve different areas of our lives.  One of the ways was to put a painting or picture on the wall representing something that we wanted to achieve.  This sounded kind of magical, not really logical.  I liked it but I thought I would look for a more scientific approach so I turned to Western resources.

The way I see it now is that if you have pictures of fit people at home, this will activate and reinforce those patterns in your brain and will improve your focus on this matter.  You will start recognizing more fitness signs/reminders all around you.  These may have always been there, but you might not have been aware of them until changing your focus.

Then I discovered one of the first versions of a powerful tool that most people know as the Vision Board.  At that time I was in Mexico and it was called The Map of The Treasure.

I then combined core Feng Shui elements with critical structural  components within the Map of the Treasure concept, effectively creating a far more powerful tool that I call my SIDEKICK – Always by my side helping me achieve my goals!

Your SideKick easily helps you redirect your life toward achieving the results that you want.  It makes you more aware of the possibilities that you can extract from your reality and that match what you are looking for.  I will write a How To Create Your Own SideKick Tutorial in later post.

There are always constant reinforcements and reminders all around us and we are rarely aware of them.  However, these reminders have a huge influence on us, and they might keep us doing the same thing that we don’t want to do over and over.  It is just so familiar to us.  E.g.:  You want to quit smoking but have this cool picture of one of your favorite artists smoking a cigar.  It’s so cool that you’re drawn to follow the example.  Not a good idea.

The good thing about it is that the opposite applies as well.  Your SideKick is a powerful tool to facilitate the achievement of new habits and the creation of new brain patterns.  And now you know the WHY and the HOW!

ANALYZING AND ACTING ON IT

Do you have an exquisite picture on your wall of somebody apathetic?  A cool shot of somebody angry?  Or do you have somebody smiling?  Or a couple in love?  Somebody drinking fresh water perhaps?  Until now you may not have given these things much attention, but think twice.  All these images awaken different feelings in you, different reactions, different frequencies of vibration – IT HAS AN EFFECT ON YOU!  So let’s do something about it – RIGHT NOW!

FUN TASK: Choose at least ONE THING in your habitual place that is representing an old pattern that you want to leave for good, and exchange it for another object that represents a new habit or aspect of your life that you want to accomplish. Not Your Mama’s Superhero

There is a new breed of Superheros rising and in order to get to know it, let’s start by establishing what a Superhero definitely is NOT.

WHAT IS DEFINITELY NOT A SUPERHERO:

  • A funny man (or woman) in tights.
  • A cocky individual who feels superior, and therefore disconnected from the rest.
  • A hot looking dude or girl who is not interested in the inner aspects.

Actually, it is not that important to talk about what a Superhero is DEFINITELY NOT.  What is important is talking about what a Superhero IS, since everyone carries the potential within them, they might just be at a different place on their journey!  So let’s talk about what a Superhero IS:

WHAT IS A SUPERHERO:

  • A Superhero is you mentally achieving major things, through the understanding and application of Sources of Wisdom, such as “The 5 Superhero Secretsand thus, knowing no limits!
  • A Superhero is the UNLEASHED YOU!
  • A Superhero is you connecting with others at a higher and deeper level, knowing that we all are different expressions of the same source.   A Superhero feels deeply connected with the planet like a vital part of the whole, unique and essential.
  • A Superhero is you always growing rather than getting old, no matter what age and continually expanding in dynamic flow.
  • A Superhero is you taking full responsibility for your life, knowing that destiny is in your hands and so shedding the desire to complain and blame.  It is you transforming your life into your dream come true.
  • A Superhero is you understanding that this is a Universe of INFINITE POSSIBILITIES! Pure potentiality… FUN!
  • A Superhero is you excelling in both the physical and internal aspects, maintaining balance while making each experience a connected one and using great awareness everyday of your life.
  • A Superhero is you always looking for the most economical, effective and direct way of living your life, ensuring that the results will be the best every time.
  • A Superhero is you making the best out of ANY situation and knowing that there is always a way to please all involved components.

Superheroes are the generation of the future starting TODAY.  You and I evolving our inner aspects, our mental, physical and spiritual capacities.

Past generations achieved incredible advancements: building industries, cities, machinery, and technology.  These are all external accomplishments.  Now, we, the new generation of Superheroes, will add extraordinary mastery by developing our internal abilities and natural sources.  This way , an integration of both complementary aspects will occur: superheroes living in a superworld of nature AND technology, in a world of unity, wholeness and excitement!  The sky’s is the limit, and not even that!  UP UP AND AWAY!
